Some back ground info of myself

It’s been a while since I blogged about something, so here we go. I thought I might share some of my life experiences. Life has been great and can only get better. Upon leaving school I was skateboarding for many years after entering competitions and winning many of them. I worked in little stores and did the odd job here and there and even worked in the Pretoria state theatre. I welded and made sure that the balcony for the Rock Horror picture show was stable. This was many years ago. Anyway, I landed up working on the mines. Well, that lasted for about 4 years and ended in 1996 when I broke my back. I had to teach myself other skills and this then lead me to support people with issues using various things from mobiles, computers, printer etc.
 
During the above period I played in various bands as a hobby and also did some home recording projects. Some were good and some bad. I met my wife and we have two of the most beautiful kids.
 
Now after all these years it is time to move on and see if I can break through doing something else; and hopefully being successful with this new venture.

Have you ever thought

Have you ever been wondering what your calling is in the career department. I have, and I must say that everyday it becomes a little harder to cope because you have spent so much time trying to make it in the corporate world that you have forgotten how to live.

 

You don’t spend a lot of quality time with your family and when you do you’re there but not completely. Your mind is somewhere else trying to think where the next buck is going to come from and if it will be enough to survive. Times are tough and work is few, so now I start to think to myself “why did I give so much of my time to something else that never gave anything of value back?”

 

Family should ALWAYS be put first and everything else after. Live your life now and be grateful for what you have and everything else will follow.

 

Just a thought.

So many people, too many people – in fact, think that there’s this huge catch when signing up for FREE Fax-to-E-mail.

My phone fell in water, HELP!!!!

Have you ever dropped your phone is liquid? Well needless to say that cell phones and liquids do NOT work hand in hand with each other.
 
If this happens to you all you need to remember is to remove the battery immediately and shake the access water off. Using a hair dryer on mid temperature dry the back of the phone where the battery is inserted for about 10 minutes. Turn the phone around and do the same on the face. Turn around again and repeat at the back.
 
Place the phone on tissue or toilet paper and leave it there for approximately 24 hours. Your phone should work but the life span of the phone won’t be as long as you would have hoped for as oxidization has started to take effect.

With all the abbreviations used in texting, and social media these days – spelling has literally gone for a ball of crap.

But besides that, we’re still ‘fairly’ young and still understand most of the abbreviations used!

Some fun “FREE” Blackberry Applications

We are always being asked what Blackberry applications we’re using when we put a fun and happy emoticon on a BBM or on FB, or other social networks, so I’ve decided to put some here

I’m not going to be inserting links or anything, but if you go into your BB Application World, log in you’d be able to download them straight from there, and if you can’t find them, just search for them, it’s easy peasy.  They’re all “FREE” – I only download the free ones!

For some fun emoticons and to create an avatar of yourself – you have to download  Jingu

So far these you can paste into any social network and they’re super cute.

Another has to be the Excuse Generator

Quite a fun one to have, but not always practical LOL

Sometimes you get some that might come in handy!

Obviously Twitter, Facebook, and WordPress and Blackberry Messenger is a must if your a social butterfly or bat!

Whatsapp Messenger  - for those poor buggers that don’t have a Blackberry and have other cell phones, it works like BBM, exactly like BBM!!

And before I forget, like on your computer if you have FB chat, you can have it on your Blackberry too – just search for Free Chat for Facebook in the BB Application World, works exactly the same.

That’s about it for now, will add more when I come across them, there are plenty of games, but I don’t play games much on my phone, I would rather play Angry Birds on hubby’s phone

Seriously though – do yourselves a favour, take some time and just go through your BB Application World, there are tons of applications, and let us know which ones you like.

Are you tired of “Angry Birds” like I am?

Are you tired of “Angry Birds” like I am? Well now there’s a new game that is rather addictive.

I have discovered a new “Android” game that involves a little thinking but is rather fun and gory at the same time. It is called “Stupid Zombies”. Like “Angry Birds” you actually have to aim a missile so that it bounces around and kills the “Zombies” using the least effort and missiles to gain high scores.

You have 5 missiles in which you have to kill all Zombies before proceeding to the next level. As you move through the levels things become hairy and more strategically, as now you have to plan the routes for your missiles to travel.

You have one man with one shotgun and many “Stupid Zombies”.
